1. What We Collect

We do not collect personal information. SG Primary Tingxie does not require sign-up, accounts, or any form of personally identifiable information.

All your data — vocabulary lists, quiz progress, credits, and settings — is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage and Capacitor native storage.

2. Data Sent to Third Parties

When you use certain features, data is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for AI processing:

Worksheet Scan: Photos or PDFs you upload are sent to Claude to extract Chinese vocabulary words, pinyin, and English translations. The image is processed and discarded — it is not stored or used for AI training by Anthropic.
Example Sentences (造句): The Chinese word you select is sent to Claude to generate age-appropriate example sentences. Only the word itself is transmitted, not any personal data.

3. In-App Purchases

Credit packs are available via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple — we never receive or store your payment information. Purchases can be restored from the Credits screen in the app.

4. Children's Privacy

SG Primary Tingxie is designed for children aged 4+ and their parents. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The AI features described above process schoolwork content (Chinese vocabulary) only, never personal data.

5. Data Security

All data lives on your device. We do not operate user accounts, databases, or cloud storage for user data. This means your data cannot be accessed by us — but it also means you should be aware that uninstalling the app will delete your local data.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no data to access, correct, or delete on our servers. All data management is under your control on your device.
